KOIN.com: Windows Smashed At Bush Campaign Headquarters
Republicans Worried It Will Deter Volunteers
PORTLAND -- Rocks crashed through the windows of a Bush campaign office while it was vacant Wednesday night.
Republican campaign workers said vandals hit their office in southeast Portland, filling the large front windows full of holes.
'Those of us who do this for a living are accustomed to this and it doesn't come as a tremendous surprise, knowing the absolute rabid hatred of the left out here. But I gotta tell you, it really worries me that it's going to deter some of our volunteers from wanting to work as late at night,' director Tim Trickery told KOIN News 6.
Local democratic leaders say they don't condone vandalism from either side.
By noon Thursday, police had not yet investigated the incident.
