When you step into the voting booth on Election Day, you expect the person next to you to be who they say they are. But right here in Bexar County, we've uncovered at least a dozen cases of people trying to manipulate the system, committing voter fraud.
David Young is angry and worried about the voter registration form he received at work.
"The signature is not my signature," Young told WOAI. "It's not even close."
His date of birth and social security number are also wrong. Young suspects it could be voter fraud - motivated by money.
"Who ever is doing this is possibly making ten dollars for every card they turn in," explained Young.
Colorado is currently being rocked by allegations of voter fraud. Thousands of bogus registration forms have surfaced. Now the same may be happening here.
'The problem is somebody is trying to do something illegal,' said Elections Administrator Cliff Borofsky. 'That's a problem.'
Borofsky confirmed that he's sending twelve cases over to the District Attorney for investigation.
"It concerns me that I have several people who are getting this wrong," said Borofsky. "It will be up to the DA's office to determine if it's voter fraud."
Young's form was submitted by a woman hired by ACORN. The non-profit organization pays people eight dollars an hour to get people registered to vote during election time. "
